In case you don't know me, I like to ride my bicycle, and it has been a dream of mine for years to ride my bike around the country. Well, my bachelor years are numbered (hopefully) so now is the time for this dream to come true. At the end of this year I hope to begin a journey that has never before been attempted. I am going to ride through 48 states in a year. It's going to be a long arduous journey that will push my body to the limits and test the bonds between friends and family. Although this trip is a dream of mine, it isn't just going to be about me. Our country is currently struggling with many problems and I want to find people and organizations that are making a difference and help out in any way that I can. There will be more details about the trip available here as the plans unfold. For now you can view a general map of the route by clicking on the map below. This is my personal web site. It has some cool features that I had added to other web sites such as the nifty photogallery above and the Omega Calendar. So check it out and let me know what you think, and if you really like it, maybe you'll want a cool web site for yourself or your business.
Happy Birthday to me
This is part of an e-mail I sent to Katie on my birthday to let her know how it went and I thought I would share it with everyone because it's not often I write something this long.
KT,
My birthday week has reminded me of something God spoke to me while in Mexico which I may have told you about in less detail before. Actually, I‘m going to start with Saturday because it was amazing as well. Jeremy and I came to help Brandon gather stuff for the garage sale fundraiser. We got to meet Ruston (the other guy that is going to India) and his Dad who are very awesome people. We were done very early so we needed something else to do, and your dad suggested working at your nanny’s house. She kept trying to correct us on everything we did, but thankfully the Lord gave us lots of patience because it didn’t really bother me and usually I get pretty “testy” to steal a saying from your mom. It just felt great to be used by God for good rather than spending the weekend working for myself.
